 One of the things I have always loved about reflexology is the ability to gain control over your body. It is a unique sense of empowerment. 


I tell my clientele to interrupt stress and do it frequently. Stress won’t kill you unless it is continuous. Then it starts to cause wear and tear to your body. 


We need the stress response to survive. But we also need it to shut off after it has done it’s job. 


That is where the vagus nerve comes into play. Stimulating the vagus shuts down the stress response and turns down the inflammation that goes along with the stress response. Resetting the stress response not only protects your health but also leaves you feeling great.


So focus on your vagus nerve if you are feeling down and a little blue. Rub your feet, hands, face, ears and scalp or go get a full body massage. 


Splash cold water on your face. Try some deep breathing. Hum, sing, laugh and love. All this and more effect the vagus nerve. 


Shift gears to feel your best and feel empowered. It is within all of our reach.
